Dr. Michael Haynes

Optometrist

Dr. Michael Haynes was born and raised in Daytona Beach. He graduated from Seabreeze High School and proceeded to Florida State University. He did his graduate studies at the New England College of Optometry in Boston and his post-graduate internship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. He has been a local optometric physician since 1983. He is an active member of the AOA, the FOA and the Volusia-Seminole Optometric Association. He is board certified by the National Board of Optometry and the Florida Board of Optometry. He is a guest lecturer at many civic and community organizations on cataracts, glaucoma, refractive surgery and lasers. He brings to the team an extensive knowledge of ocular pathology and has been actively involved with refractive surgery patient care and research since 1982. In addition, he is skilled in primary eye care, contact lens fitting, visual and ocular health assessment and general patient care.

Dr. Gregory Kipp

Optometrist

Dr. Gregory T. Kipp is a born local of Daytona. He attended Seabreeze High School and graduated from Florida State University. He received his doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry. Dr. Kipp is a third-generation optometrist. His great-uncle Dr. Kenneth West came to Daytona Beach in the late 1920s and practiced on Beach Street. Dr. Kipp’s father, Dr. Richard Kipp, joined his uncle in 1947. Dr. Richard Kipp has practiced on Ballough Road in Daytona since the early 1960s. As destiny would have it, Dr. Gregory Kipp joined his father in practice in 1977. He is certified by the Florida Board of Optometry. He has been a trusted local family physician in the community ever since.

Dr. Jalene Haynes

Optometrist

Dr. Jalene Haynes grew up in Ormond Beach, Florida and graduated from Seabreeze high school. She received her business degree from the University of Florida, Go Gators. Following in her uncle footsteps with her passion for optometry, Dr. Haynes graduated from Nova Southeastern University with Honors with her doctorate in Optometry. Upon returning to her home town, she joined Vision One.

Dr. Haynes practices a full scope of optometry including comprehensive eye exams, contact lens care, pre and post operative care and treatment of eye diseases including glaucoma. Dr. Haynes has a strong fondness for geriatric optometry and loves taking her time to understand her patients needs as well as their wants and is happy to offer her knowledge of the field to everyone she serves. Outside of clinic Dr. Haynes enjoys her free time with her husband and three children.

Dr. Shivam Patel

Optometrist

Dr. Shiv Patel, OD moved to Central Florida with his family from Bristol, England where he was born and raised. He graduated from Seminole High School with an International Baccalaureate diploma. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Central Florida. After graduating from UCF, he began school in Puerto Rico at the Inter American University-School of Optometry where he graduated in 2017. Knowing he wanted to practice in our growing multilingual community, Inter American was the only school that taught how to perform an eye exam in English and Español, which he enjoys using daily in his practice. Amongst the scope of his profession, the aspects he finds most rewarding are the diagnosis and management of ocular pathology related to, but not limited to, systemic diseases, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataract pre/post-operative care.

When Dr. Patel is not examining eyes and caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his dog, Halley, and baby niece. Playtime is essential in his home life with Halley. He is an avid soccer fan, always cheering on Manchester United and Orlando City. Dr. Patel is also an Astrophile and has a special interest in astronomy-related photography he spends much of his downtime studying space and our solar system.

Dr. Kourosh Nazari

Ophthalmologist

Dr. Kourosh Nazari, MD, FACS is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a Fellow of American College of Surgeons. He grew up in Miami. After finishing college in South Florida, he moved to Georgia to attend the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine. He completed his training in ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh. He received oculoplastic and orbital training at the University of Pittsburgh, which is recognized for its specialization in this field of ophthalmology. During his training, Dr. Nazari received extensive training in orbital tumors, thyroid eye disease and eyelid surgery. In the years following his training, Dr. Nazari has performed thousands of oculoplastic and orbital surgeries in Central Florida. He has traveled abroad and tutored surgeons overseas in performing oculoplastic and orbital surgery. During his travels, he has performed surgeries on patients with rare congenital diseases and complex traumatic injuries, such as burns and lacerations.
